Moses Kakooza is a renewable energy and mini-grid expert with over 13 years of experience advancing energy access across Africa. As Founder and CEO of Senfkorn Energy Limited, he specializes in mini-grid development, productive use of energy, electrification planning, and renewable energy policy. He has managed Uganda’s Pro Mini-Grids Programme, leading the deployment of 25 mini-grids and collaborating with government, private sector, and development partners. Moses has provided consultancy services to leading international organizations across Uganda, Rwanda, Somalia, Ghana, and Mozambique and is committed to delivering sustainable energy solutions that drive sustainable development.

Head of Finance & Administration

Sharon Akello is a finance and accounts professional with over 10 years of experience in private, public, and international organizations. Her expertise spans financial management, budgeting, compliance, reporting, reconciliations, procurement, and administrative coordination.

Sharon is valued for her practical, detail-oriented approach and her ability to build systems that promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency. She is passionate about responsible business growth and practical renewable energy solutions.

Renewable Energy & Capacity Building Expert

Patrick Masendi is a Renewable Energy Specialist with over 10 years of experience in solar PV systems, energy efficiency, and decentralized energy solutions across Sub-Saharan Africa. As Managing Partner at Olta Energy Uganda Ltd, he leads the design and delivery of hybrid solar PV systems, mini-grids, and energy efficiency projects for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.

Patrick has held senior technical and leadership roles at Equator Energy and CREEC, Makerere University, and brings extensive expertise in techno-economic analysis, system optimization, project implementation, and quality assurance. He has also led capacity-building and technical training initiatives for governments and international organizations, including the World Bank, GIZ, UKRI, ISA, GGGI, UNDP, and IRENA. Patrick  has successfully delivered energy projects across 11 countries in Africa.

Financial Advisor

CPA Joseph Kaggwa Mukasa, FCCA, MBA is a highly experienced finance, audit, and business advisory professional with over 20 years of expertise in financial management, governance, organizational development, and capacity building across Africa. A Certified Public Accountant and Fellow of ACCA (UK), he has led consultancy and training assignments in more than 15 African countries, supporting private sector organizations, development programs, and public institutions.

Currently a Consultant with Senfkorn Energy Uganda Limited, Joseph brings extensive experience in financial advisory, business development, internal and external audit, and institutional strengthening. He has held senior consulting and leadership roles with leading consultancy firms and international development initiatives and serves on several boards and governance committees. 



Legal Advisor

Bonita Mulelengi is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with over nine years’ experience practicing both civil and criminal law. She has built her niche in Technology, Media & Telecommunications and Intellectual Property, and is a recognized WTR 1000 trademark attorney. Bonita also provides consultancy services in data protection and privacy. Beyond her professional work, she is a passionate recreational runner.

It has led numerous audit, governance, financial management, and advisory assignments across a diverse range of sectors, including financial services, cooperatives, education, NGOs, insurance, and local government. Augustine Associates is passionate about helping organizations strengthen governance, improve financial performance, and achieve sustainable growth through practical and innovative solutions.

Productive Use of Renewable Energy Expert

Brian Kawuma is a development specialist with over a decade of experience advancing renewable energy, agriculture, and inclusive economic development across the Global South. He specializes in the Productive Use of Renewable Energy (PURE), helping to connect decentralized energy solutions with livelihood improvement, enterprise growth, and job creation. Brian has worked extensively with private sector actors, development partners, and policymakers to promote energy-enabled productive technologies, including solar irrigation, agro-processing, and cold storage. He brings strong expertise in applied research, policy engagement, and multi-stakeholder collaboration, with a proven ability to translate complex technical issues into practical, people-centered solutions that drive sustainable and inclusive development.

POWER SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Okumu Innocent is an Electrical Engineer with over 10 years of experience in power systems, renewable energy, rural electrification, and infrastructure development across Uganda. He has led and supported the design, construction, testing, and commissioning of solar mini-grids, power distribution networks, substations, and large-scale energy projects, including hydroelectric and transmission infrastructure. His expertise spans feasibility studies, electrical system design, project supervision, commissioning, and quality assurance for both grid-connected and off-grid energy solutions. Innocent holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Makerere University and is committed to delivering reliable and sustainable energy systems that support economic growth and community development.
